Liiu at VDL

We realised a 15 meter high Liiu in the void at the VDL Head Office in Eindhoven. We are proud to have a permanent installation in our former hometown.

VDL Headoffice in the Netherlands has a Helix Liiu custom made light sculpture about 15 meters high! It shows the lightness, the detail. Driving by at the A16 and you can see the light sculpture, chandelier, light art. The studio went further by also making the light plan for the entire building.

VDL Head office is based in Eindhoven, THE NETHERLANDS. This technical company felt in love with our technical light sculpture. From every floor you will see the light sculpture from a different perspective. The whole organisation of lights changes by the point you look at it.

VANTOT has a hands-on work mentality. When VDL asked them to make the entire lighting plan they took the initiative to not only visualise but also test with lighting at the building. Which resulted in a night testing in Eindhoven at the Hurk with Baselmans to create light sketches right at the building.

LIGHTING SCHEME

We did the art direction and realised a sustainable lighting scheme to light out the entire building at night. Using less light, but showing the contours of the building by lighting out the essential elements. Have a look while driving by at the A2.

Together with Roel Deden VANTOT developed a light design tool for large installations to visualise the lights culptures, light chandeliers. It’s made in the program Blender, which has the ability to render while working at the model. An amazing tool for our light industry.
