We designed two main features for Alfen, a company based in Almere that is committed to building a brighter future through sustainable energy solutions. The project includes two large Liiu Chandeliers, each with a diameter of 300 cm and a length of over 12 meters, which illuminate the main entrance.

In creating our custom light installations, we frequently encounter various challenges, one of which is the installation process. While a void may be designed for the installation, the practicalities of accessing it are not always considered. In some cases, the void was created a long time ago, and only a single point was calculated for the weight of the artwork. We enjoy collaborating to find innovative solutions. For example, at VDL, we designed a simple canopy that can be raised and lowered. For Alfen, we utilized scaffolding, and for another project, we employed a scissor lift.
