VDL Headoffice in the Netherlands has a Helix Liiu custom made light sculpture about 15 meters high! It shows the lightness, the detail. Driving by at the A16 and you can see the light sculpture, chandelier, light art. The studio went further by also making the light plan for the entire building.
VDL Head office is based in Eindhoven, THE NETHERLANDS. This technical company felt in love with our technical light sculpture. From every floor you will see the light sculpture from a different perspective. The whole organisation of lights changes by the point you look at it.

LIGHTING SCENOGRAPHY
SUSTAINABLE LIGHTING for VDL

We partnered with VDL to develop an art direction and sustainable lighting scheme that highlights the building’s contours at night. By using minimal light to illuminate key architectural elements, we create a striking visual effect visible from the A2.

Additionally, we reprogrammed the interior lighting to enhance employees’ bio-rhythms and improve energy efficiency. This project reflects our commitment to sustainable design and the well-being of all who work at VDL.

  • The Liiu is a modular lighting system, hand made in Europe. The LED lights are woven into a stainless-steel structure to create a light sculpture that can be arranged in multiple ways, such as a chandelier or light curtain. This light is for in you home, next to your couch. Will be produced by Luceplan.
  • The Liiu pattern can be changed easily by winding the elements on or off the wires.
