In collaboration with Firm Architects, we reimagined Liiu for the Backbase project in Amsterdam. We created a custom installation tailored to this multifunctional space. This design features a more horizontal arrangement, with Liiu lights aligned alongside seating specifically designed by Firm Architects.

OUR SWISS ARMY KNIFE

We’ve developed a tool to visualize the pieces we aim to create. This tool greatly enhances our collaboration on projects, helping us align on the ideal light installation that everyone envisions. It often encourages clients to embrace more extreme and experimental ideas. The tool also allows for real-time rendering of the light, showcasing the final result effectively. We integrate the lights into a steel cable structure, creating patterns together—or, at times, opting for a more chaotic arrangement.

  • The Liiu is a modular lighting system, hand made in Europe. The LED lights are woven into a stainless-steel structure to create a light sculpture that can be arranged in multiple ways, such as a chandelier or light curtain. This light is for in you home, next to your couch. Will be produced by Luceplan.
  • The floating lights are modular lighting system, hand made in Europe. The LED lights are woven into a stainless-steel structure to create a light sculpture that can be arranged in multiple ways, such as a chandelier or light curtain.
  • The Liiu pattern can be changed easily by winding the elements on or off the wires.

The Liiu system can take on any scale and form. It is designed to create grand architectural expressions, while also offering a more modest configuration suitable for homes.
