VANTOT is the creative partnership of Esther Jongsma and Sam van Gurp, a dynamic design duo who met and joined forces at the renowned Design Academy Eindhoven. Their journey began in the heart of design and technology, where they honed their skills and vision over a decade.

After a fulfilling ten years in Eindhoven, Esther and Sam took a leap of faith and relocated to Breda. This move was not just a change of scenery but a strategic step towards realizing their shared dream. In their new studio, a blend of workshop and laboratory, they delve into the possibilities of new technologies, especially in the realm of lighting.

Their expertise lies in the art and science of light. Initially focusing on practical lighting solutions—like fixtures above tables and next to sofas—their curiosity and the evolving potential of LED technology led them to dream on a grander scale. This ambition gave birth to their innovative light-grid concept, which started with the V-V-V series and evolved into the sophisticated Liiu.

VANTOT’s work spans various fields, including product lighting, light installations, and street lighting. Their approach combines functionality with artistry, creating pieces that are both practical and visually striking.
