Your World

From our world to yours…

After been created in our own habitat, our ideas and products can be found in the great wide world. These are the places where they end up in your favorite public- and private places; restaurants, hotels, living rooms, galleries, installations, exhibitions, books, magazines

We were invited to create a circle: ‘Impact of light‘ during IMM Cologne. The work is part of the thematic exhibition “Installation Circles”, curated by Studio Dessi, Raw-Edges Design Studio and us.

We wanted to elaborate and explain our lighting system. With the same light we can create a cozy space in house, or a huge installation. An invitation to users to engage in a sensory play and contact with low-voltage technology.

Consisting of an open outdoor area and a darker indoor space, the “Impact of Light” installation by VANTOT (based in Breda, the Netherlands) experiments with the disembodiment of light. Suspended from a filigree grid system, numerous spotlights are positioned to carve out spaces and sculptures from light, exploring the potential to craft expansive light sculptures in public spaces as well as in smaller more intimate interiors.

SKY-HIGH BAR

After the succes in 2017 VANTOT hosted dinners again together with other Section C residents. This we didn’t open our studio, but we went Sky High, at Sectie’Cs bridge where you can oversee the terrain. We, the designers at Sectie-C and food artist Jasper Udink ten Cate, the Creative Chef, join hands in a tasty collaboration during the Dutch Design Week 2018. During this week, visitors could descend upon this spot where creatives open their workshops and studios for a sensory experience. In an intimate atmosphere, you got acquainted with the designers and their working methods while enjoying a special dinner amid sawing tables, welding machines and drills. The Creative Chef will provided an unforgettable food experience with special flavours and stories where all the senses will be stimulated. In addition, the designers of Sectie-C enhanced the experience with their stories, tests and samples.
